Reaching the hard to reach

Froglife will be working with Owl Housing, a charity established to develop a range of community based opportunities for people with learning disabilities, in particular for those people resettling from long-stay institutions.

We will be setting up a sustainable ‘Green Volunteer’ group to carry out habitat management on ponds in the local area. This group will benefit from new skills, meeting new people and participating in the community through volunteering with local people.

The volunteers will also receive vital ecological training with a view of employment and to continue to enhance wildlife habitats.
